When Billingham USA asked if I was interested in reviewing the Overnighter, I said yes. When I started researching the bag online, the first thing it reminded me of was a bowling bag. The second thing it reminded me of was those 1970s vintage ADIDAS pleather sports bags I saw as a kid and dreamed of owning, but never did. However, once I got the bag in my hands, I knew right away I would use it as a daily duffle, not an overnight travel bag. In a way, I feel this bag might have a bit of an identity crisis, which is a good thing. It's way more versatile than an overnighter.
Yes, you can use this for travel, but you could probably also use it for shopping, going to the gym, school, or as a rugged albeit elegant work duffle bag. I can also see hobbyists (fishing, camping, RC racing, drone flying, etc.) using it to store and carry their favourite toys around town or into the wilderness. Stay tuned for my field test, but so far I really like my new English duffle bag.
Here we go again with my What's In My Bag series, featuring the new Wotancraft Pilot Leather Travel Camera Bag in 3.5L. I also show the 2L, but not a detailed look. Thanks for watching. Affiliate links below:
The new Wotancraft Pilot 2L and 3.5L leather camera sling bags, as well as the new Parashooter camera leather and paracord neck and wrist straps. My first look and impressions.
I'm always excited when Wotancraft sends me top-secret packages in the mail. This time they sent me two premium leather versions of the Pilot 2L and 3.5L sling bags and new camera straps. This is a long one, so if you're only interested in the new holiday bonus program, skip to 25:58 to find out the various bonus tiers starting at $130 USD.
For those of you who've been following me on Instagram, you know what I've been up to since the summer. For those of you who are confused, please watch this video where I try to explain all my traveling. Thanks for watching and happy shooting!
Another compact light from HOBOLITE, this time the battery-powered MICRO. This light is small, yet powerful. It's only 8W, but for a desktop solution, its powerful enough. Check out my unboxing and first impressions.
I've driven German cars, own German cameras, love German pens and stationery, and enjoy German food, but I have yet to review a German camera bag... until now. Thank you Oberwerth for reaching out and allowing me to check out your line-up of camera bags. Oberwerth HQ is very close to Leica HQ, so it's no surprise that many of their camerabags are Leica-centric. I decided to check out two of their Red Dot Edition bags, the Photo Backpack Sling and the Weekender. I have already begun testing these bags in the field, but please enjoy my unboxing and first look. Check out more content on my Instagram account.
Do you need a super-telephoto zoom for your Fujifilm X Mount camera? Do you want to spend less than $1000 USD before taxes? Consider the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS super-telephoto zoom lens. It's big, it's heavy, but it definitely packs an optical punch. This is my first look video.
We finally have Sigma's 23mm f/1.4 DC DN for Fujifilm X Mount. If you wanted to go 100% Sigma lenses in the Fujifilm X Mount ecosystem, you now can. 16mm, 23mm, 30mm, 56mm, 18-50mm, and 100-400mm. That's pretty impressive for a Japanese third-party lens manufacturer.
When I first unboxed Wotancraft's New Pilot 18L Camera Backpack, I knew it would be popular. It was the perfect size for an everyday camera backpack for those that carry a decent amount of gear while working in the field or traveling. It was so popular that Wotancraft sold out of their initial batch right away and quickly started production on their second batch. They even told me not to produce any more videos until they could finish making more, which is now!!
After a month of using this camera bag in the field, this has become my favourite camera backpack. In this video, I share with you how I pack it out for my current review gear while walking through the streets of Vancouver. Comment down below and let me know if you have any questions.
In this video, I let my videographer Chris from ChrisMeetsChris take the new Tamron 11-20mm for Fujifilm X Mount out on the streets and vlog with it. I think he did a pretty good job, Thanks for your help Chris. Check out his Youtube channel and Instagram account:
This may be the best medium size camera backpack to come to market, the Wotancraft New Pilot 18L camera backpack. Check out my unboxing and first-look video.
After a year of planning, I'm finally here in Italy teaching a field school for the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Thank you Mark Nakamura for introducing me to the school, and giving me the opportunity to become an instructor.
Check out the new COOPH (Cooperative of Photography) solar panel modular camera backpack. This is my first-look video in lovely Fuschl, Austria. Please check out their kickstarter campaign here:
How many Youtubers do you see in this video? Well, there's me, Julian.... Please enjoy my new series called "Talking Cameras". We start episode one in NYC at the 2022 Fujifilm X Summit and Fujikina.
Does the $650 USD Peak Design Travel Tripod worth the price difference against the new competition, the Ulanzi Zero F38 tripod? I go through a detailed comparison between these two popular carbon fibre travel tripods.
It's finally arrived, the Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 for Fujifilm X Mount. If you currently have the Fujifilm XF10-24mm f/4 R OIS WR but you always wished it was faster, the Tamron is a good option. It has less range than the Fujifilm lens, but you're one stop faster. Is that a good enough trade-off for you and your photography and/or videography? If you're a vlogger, perhaps it is. If you're a landscape photographer, perhaps not. Check out my unboxing and first impressions of this compact ultrawide zoom lens.

New stuff from Cura Japan. I love all their products, from cleaning supplies to camera straps. The new Camera Pochette Suede is perfect for camera storage and transportation. Below are the links mentioned in the video:
The LED lighting market has exploded in the past few years with more powerful, portable, and feature-rich products. These lights might not be the most exciting products to look at or talk about, but they're essential for content creators. The HoboLite Mini is different. Yes, it's a functional LED light, compact, powerful, useful, etc. What makes this lighting system stand out is its design. As soon as I saw it I wanted to review it. As soon as I had it, I wanted to touch it and play with it. As soon as I played with it, I wanted to start using it.
This video is just my unboxing and first impressions. Please wait for my full review. So far this light is working awesome for me and my needs. Thanks JoeDAgostinoPhoto for introducing me to the team over at Hobolite. Please check out Joe's videos on their entire lighting system, as well as Hobolite's own Youtube channel.
If you're a photographer, you've heard the name Billingham. They've been making bags since 1973, and many of the original ones are still around today. Made in England, these very British-looking bags were originally meant for fishing and hunting. However, the founders Martin and Ros Billingham realized New York photographers were using them as camera bags, and the rest is history. I've always seen the Billingham bags around, but I've never had the opportunity to use one myself, until now. I decided to review the biggest 7-series bag, the 307. At $498 USD retail, is this bag worth it? I think so, and in this video, I explain why. Thank you Billingham USA for sending me a copy for review. I promise to take good care of it. Let me know if you own a Billingham bag, and if so, which ones are your favourites? If you want me to review another Billingham bag, let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching!
This is my first Samyang lens review, and I'm pretty excited. I've heard good things about their 12mm f/2 for Fujifilm X Mount, but I never had the opportunity to test it. For this video I get an early look at the AF 75mm f/1.8 for Fujifilm X Mount. This is just my unboxing and first look. Please wait for my shooting review as well as my article for Fujilove Magazine.
Yes, this is my third video in three days. Another 30-40 videos to go. I'm not kidding. I tend to shoot videos but end up running out of time to edit and upload them. Sorry about that. Here's the companion video to my M11 video where I roam around Chinatown and Gastown with Chris Meets Chris. In this video, I compare the M11 and M10-R and see which one is best for you. I hope you enjoy!
I recently reviewed the GFX50S II + GF20-35mm f/4 R WR and compared it against the X-T5 + XF10-24mm f/4 R OIS. Although they have similar field-of-view and megapixels, these are very different cameras. Check out this video as well as my latest article for Fujilove Magazine comparing these two systems.
Boy oh boy this is a weird lens. It's hard to recommend, but it's also hard not to recommend. Watch the video to find out why, or check out my Fujilove article:
The subject of lighting for your studio can be boring... until you need one. Before Youtube, I didn't care about studio lighting, but now I'm always looking for ways to improve the lighting for my videos and for my product photography. Here is the new GVM YU150R Professional panel light. What makes this light special? It's a powerful 150W LED panel light with both bi-colour (2000-10,000K) and RGB, as well as colour gel mode and special effects. it can be controlled by a simple control panel on the back of the unit, via smart device app, or via two DMX connectors. Check out the video!
Here's another quick video featuring the new Clever Supply Sling bag. It was on my day off and I decided to show what I carried for the day whilst out and about with Camera Girl. Below are links to the various products I talked about. Thanks for watching :-)

The fine folks over at Wotancraft are constantly updating their bags to make incremental improvements. The newly updated Waist Pack / Sling Pouch is no exception. Over the years I've been raving about the 2020 version of this bag. It's my favourite simple sling pouch for daily use and overseas travel because it's packable and versatile. I can use it as a large dopp kit, a waist bag, or a sling pouch. With this new update, they've addressed one of my two major concerns about the previous version. I just got these bags in so I have yet to use them out in the field. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Let me know if you have any questions below, or any other bags you want me to review from Wotancraft or any other brand.
I talk about the 2020 Waist Pack in my 2021 Germany video:

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know how much I love watches. For the past couple of years, I've been working with Ten Eleven Nine Watches from Berlin to feature their minimalistic German-made watches. Leif of Ten Eleven Nine is also a photographer and graphic designer and is interested in talking to creatives. He asked me if he could interview and of course, I said yes. Here is our interview.
Check out my latest video as I take the new Leica M11 on the streets of Vancouver. Thanks to Chris Meets Chris for being my videographer and Camera West for loaning me the Leica M10-R. Enjoy!
TT Artisan is a Chinese lens manufacturer making noise in the third-party market for various mounts, including Leica M and Fujifilm X Mount. I've had a chance to review their 17mm f/1.4 for X-Mount, and it's an interesting lens. I currently have three more lenses from TT Artisan for the Fujifilm X Mount: AF 27mm f/2.8, 35mm f/0.95, and 50mm f/1.4 Tilt. In this video, I will be doing an unboxing and talking about each lens. Wait for future updates as a start testing these lenses in the field.

2022 was the tenth anniversary of the Fujifilm X Mount, starting with the X-Pro1 released way back in 2012. When Fujifilm decided to launch the all-new mount ten years ago, the ILC market was dominated by legacy DSLR mounts going back to the film era, or weird-looking mirrorless cameras by Sony and Samsung. Fujifilm also decided to go with the APS-C sensor instead of the larger 35mm format. Although Fujifilm made an initial impact on the market when it came to camera design, they would need more than vintage vibes to succeed in this crowded marketplace. Ten years later Fujifilm is going strong, not only with their X Mount but with their medium format GFX line-up, as well as their INSTAX system of cameras and film.
In this video, I'll talk about my pick for Camera of the Year for Fujifilm X Mount, but also my personal pick. What's the difference? Just because one camera is objectively the 'best' camera from a specific manufacturer, it doesn't mean it's something I need or want for my own personal photography. I start off by stating my pick for Camera of the Year, but the second half I'll do an unboxing of my favourite camera for 2022. I also talk quickly about lenses. I won't give you a list of all the cameras and lenses showcased in this video, but if you decide to buy any of these cameras or lenses, please consider using my affiliate links below to B&H, Amazon, and Moment.

I was in Austria with Juan Martinez of Beers and Cameras, to spend time with Ulrich and his team at The COOPH (The Cooperative of Photography). Most know this brand as the company that makes the official Leica rope strap, but they're so much more. They truly try to be part of the photography community. Thank you Ulrich for the invite, and thanks to Noro and the rest of the team for making me feel so welcome. Look forward to more collaborations with The COOPH.
Finally, one of my favourite camera bag manufacturers has decided to make leather camera straps. Wotancraft announces the release of its line-up of finely crafted premium whole leather neck and wrist straps. They come with either the Peak Design anchor connectors or with Cura brass split rings. The neck straps also come in two lengths, 100cm and 125cm. Please follow the affiliate links below, and enjoy the video.
Camera Strap Full Leather Series - Cura Split Rings (5 styles) $59 USD
This is my first impression shooting review of the new Fujifilm X-T5 and the XF30mm f/2.8 R LM WR Macro lens. I've used this camera and lens combination on the streets, at night, indoors, in my studio, and everywhere in between. What are my thoughts? Check out this video. Thanks for watching and don't forget to LIKE if you want more videos like this. Please check out my previous videos as well as my Fujifilove articles:
