My latest article for Fujilove Magazine explores the evolution of Fujifilm's design language from the previous GFX 50S to the latest and greatest GFX100S. Although the overall feel is similar, the shooting style is very different. Fujifilm has slowly been moving away from traditional dials and the D-pad, and moving towards virtual dials and on-screen navigation. What do you think? Perhaps I'm in the minority, but 28mm is my favourite prime focal length for everyday photography. I know many might consider this a boring focal length, and I can understand why. Many prefer more extremes, like a 24mm or 50mm. However, remember that 50 years ago 35mm was considered a wide angle lens. 28mm was considered wide as well. With advances in optics, 24mm is relatively easy to design and build. I think focal lengths preferences can come and go like fashion. Currently, 28mm isn't 'in fashion'. In this video I pick my 3 favourite kits for street and everyday photography, and surprise, surprise, they're all 28mm!! Thanks for watching and happy shooting!!
